Dr. Linda Jager

Hi, I’m Dr. Linda Jager, a board-certified family medicine physician with advanced training in Functional Medicine—and the founder of Vibrant Health.

Early in my career, I realized that while traditional medicine is excellent at treating emergencies and saving lives, it often falls short when it comes to chronic conditions. Prescribing more and more medications rarely addressed the true root cause of illness. Patients weren’t getting better, and I longed to make a deeper impact in their lives.

Chronic illness occurs in 6 out of 10 adults in the US and 4 out of 10 have 2 or more chronic diseases. Despite the advances in traditional medicine these numbers keeps increasing.

During a break from medicine, I spent several years as an educator, full-time mother, and caregiver for my own family. That season of life deepened both my faith and my passion for helping others. I led in-depth Bible studies and served as the Teaching Director for Community Bible Study (CBS) from 2007–2011.

When I returned to medicine, I completed my residency in family medicine and became board-certified in 2013. I worked in hospital medicine, wound care, and palliative care—but I still felt something was missing.

Everything changed in 2016 when I was introduced to Functional Medicine. For the first time, I found an approach that aligned with my heart for healing—one that looks at the whole person and seeks to uncover the root cause of illness. I trained through the Institute for Functional Medicine and became certified in 2020.

Today, I combine the best of modern medicine with the holistic, personalized care of Functional Medicine. My patients appreciate that I take time to listen, order advanced testing, and use tools like nutrition, gut health optimization, herbal therapies, and lifestyle medicine to help restore balance.

I also believe that spirituality plays a vital role in health. Identifying your “why” gives strength for lasting change. For those who desire it, I offer prayer and scripture as part of the healing process. o

Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my three grown children, extended family, and friends. I enjoy hiking, tennis, lifting weights, yoga, and tending to my garden. In the summer, you’ll often find me outside with my six beloved chickens—Ruthie, Maggie (Mary Magdalene), Priscilla, Esther, Abigail, and Sarah.

✨ My greatest joy is walking alongside patients as they discover that healing is possible, hope is real, and their health can be restored.
